The National Bank of Romania had organized an event to launch the commemorative banknote,’ The completion of the Great Union - Ion IC Bratianu’. Important personalities of the government attended the occasion.
The obverse of the banknote has the portrait of Ion Bratianu and the years of his lifetime (1864 - 1927). The reverse side of the note has a vintage image of the former Palace of the Parliament or the Chamber of Deputies which is the seat of the Parliament of Romania. At the center, an image of the sign of the Carol I Order which Bratianu received in 1922.
The BNR also issued a gold coin ‘History of Gold’ with a nominal value of 10 lei which had the same theme as the 50 lei that was dedicated to the coronation of King Ferdinand at Alba Lulia.
