The Central Bank of Oman has announced that some of the Omani coins will be going out of circulation soon as per the legal tender. According to CBO, the cancelled coins include half a rial, quarter of a rial and one hundred baisa. CBO said that these coins will go out of circulation 360 days after the date of publication of the declaration, which is 20/5/2019. They also said that those who have the old coins should get it replaced through the local commercial banks before it gets expired.
