The new polymer £10 note of Danske Bank will come into circulation on 27th February with slight modifications to the colour and features, that includes a portrait of inventor John Dunlop. Vicki Hassan ( The head of transaction banking at Danske bank) said that “polymer is regarded as being cleaner, more durable and secure than paper.
Towards the end of this year, the £10 paper note will be going out of circulation. The customers are advised to exchange their old note and embrace using polymer. It is for the first time the bank has introduced such a note, as northern bank became the first ever U.K bank to issue a plastic £5 note in December 1999.
