From December 28, 2018, National Bank of Belarus has decided to release commemorative coins of the series “Architectural heritage of Belarus”, “Mir Castle”, “Lock the Radziwill family Nesvizh”. “ Palace of Rumyantsev-Paskevich Gomel”, “Kamanets Tower”, “Nikolskaya Mogilev Church”, “St. Sophia Cathedral of Polotsk”- these are the legal tender of the Republic of Belarus. The coin 2 rubles is made up of steel coated with brass or copper and steel coated with copper and nickel. It weighs 5.81 g and has a diameter of 23.50 mm which will be circulated with 25,000 pieces of each denomination. The coins are raised rim on, both front and back side and are round in shape.
On the obverse side, in the centre, there is the relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus. There are inscriptions at top written BELARUS and at the bottom-2 rubles between them and also the stylized image of the National ornament. On the coin “Mystery house”: there is an image of Mir castle in the centre, on the top, there are inscriptions along the rim were on the top Mir castle and at the bottom 2018 is written. On the coin “Lock the Radziwill family Nesvizh, at the centre of the coin there is an image of the Radziwill Family at Nesvizh castle. On the top is the inscription Lock the Radziwill family and at the bottom, it is written: “2018”. On the coin “Palace of Rumyantsev- Paskevich Gomel”, at the centre, there is the Palace of Rumyantsev Paskevich Gomel and the same written in inscriptions. At the bottom, it is written: “ 2018”.
On the coin “Kamenets” in the centre, along with the rim, kamenets tower inscriptions are written. On the top kamenets is written and at the bottom “2018” is written. On the coin “St. Nicholas church Mogilev” there is the image of St. Nicholas church in Mogilev. Along the rim, it is written St. Nicholas church. Grave on the top while at the bottom “2018” is written. On the coin “Saint Sophia Cathedral Polotsk, in the centre, there is the image of St.Sophia cathedral in Polotsk. On top of the rim, St.Sophia cathedral, Polotsk is written and at the bottom “2018” is written.
