An official from an inter-Korean cooperation body has mentioned that North Korea has released a new commemorative coin to highlight denuclearization of the Korean peninsula. The official received the coin this year.
The coin was engraved with the text, “denuclearization of the Korean peninsula ” and protection of the world’s peace and security.” The center of the coin has an image of three hands crushing a missile-like object with the letter N.
The coin is a huge contrast with N.Korean’s commemorative coins issued last year. Pyongyang’s Central Bank had issued a coin that depicted a picture of a fist pressing down on a rocket printed with the letters ‘USA’ and the American flag on it.
