To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the approval of the law, which officially introduced the Czechoslovak crown as a monetary unit of the new state, the Czech National Bank issued a commemorative silver- gold coin. This will be available from April 10, 2019, with a nominal value of CZK 2,000. The Czech national bank is issuing 7,200 crowns made up of precious metals like silver and gold according to the designer Jiri Hanus. The bimetallic coin is embossed from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper, with a conventional design. On the back of the coin, there is a golden centre called Inlej which has a purity of 986.1.
The portrait of the first Czechoslovak Finance Minister Alois Rasin is engraved in the form of a banknote on the obverse side. On the perimeter of the coin, the name of the state CZECH REPUBLIC, the denomination of the nominal value of CZK 2,000 and the mark of the Czech mint, which produced the coin are placed around. On the reverse side of the coin, the first Czechoslovak crown coin from 1922 is depicted on the gold inlay. The years 1919-2019 and the text Czechoslovak koruna is written in the ring. Between the gold inlay and annulus, there is a text ‘I AM DRAWED FROM CZECH GOLD’. The nominal value of the coin and the selling price are not the same.
