Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced in her maiden Budget speech that new coins in the denominations of Rs 1, 5, 10, and 20 will be made available to the public soon.
The coins issued by the RBI will help the visually-impaired to identify them easily. The government had released the new designs of the coins after the announcement on March 2019.
