From February 15, 2019, there will be changes in the currency of RD $ 10 and in the RD $50 bill. The inscription ‘DOMINICAN PESO’ will be on the currency of RD $10(2017) under the national coat of arms, indicating that the national monetary unit is the DOMINICAN PESO in compliance with the constitutional mandate.
The new visual identity of the central bank, followed by the value of denomination(numerical) which is printed in violet lithography are included in the RD $50, which is made in compliance with the mandate of the monetary board. Until the replacement of both RD $10 and RD $50 is completed, they will co-exist with the version prior to 2017.
