Imminent issuance of new cuts of banknotes and coins will be proceeded by the Bank of Algeria. They will issue the new denominations of 500 DA, 1,000 DA and the 100 DA coin. This a progressive substitution for recycling outstanding notes of 500 AD and 1,000 AD with the same face value. It cannot be interpreted as a change in the National Currency.
