Bangladesh is set to issue new Tk 200 banknotes in March 2020 to celebrate the centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden Jubilee of their independence. Commemorative notes will not be released after 2021. The new notes will have the inscription,’The Special Notes will have an inscription,’ Special Note on the occasion of Mujib year.’
