According to the Arabic-speaking daily which reports the information this Thursday Feb 4,the new banknotes issued by the Bank of Algeria will enter in to circulation in the country on Feb 15.
The same source specifies that the issuance and circulation of these new banknotes aim to eliminate the liquidity crisis that the country has been experiencing for months.
The tickets bear images of the martyrs of the glorious liberation revolution, the same source adds a new 2000 DA bank note and a new 200 DA metal coin were issued by Bank of Algeria, whose characteristics and authorization to put in to circulation have to be published in the official journal of Algerian Republic of 20 Jan 2021.
